Suzuki 6 HP "NO SPARK" how to test CDI

I have a 6 HP suzuki 1988 and can't get a spark out of it.<br /><br />Is there a way to meter test the CDI and the output or ohms of the stator?<br /><br />I would hate to buy a CDI at $230 if that's not the problem.<br /><br />Thanks

No service manual. I would have to have a library for all the motors I see. Is there a test procedure?<br /><br />Thanks, Bill

with no manual you use a peak reading multimeter and test it like any basic generic ADI ignition system.<br />trons is trons and can only work in a narrowly defined limit.
