Suzuki 6hp tell tale

I bought a new 6hp suzuki about 2 years ago and have not used it much.Starting up this year I notice there is not much water comming out of the tell tale.I just don't know if I am imagining a problem or not.Is there anyway of telling if the correct amount of water is comming out.<br /><br />Martin R

My Suz 4s 6hp doesn't pump a lot of water at idle but revved up it gets flowing. I'm no expert but the water temp is warm but not hot. If it was getting close to the boil I'd be kinda worried.

It could be that i little spider or bug made it's nest in the pee-hole try wiggling with a little piece of wire or a small nail in there while it is idling, it happenes to my 15hp some times after it has been standing for a while, water comes out nice and strong afterwards.
