suzuki 9.9 to 15

I know this is a question that has been asked already but know it can be done. I was wondering if anybody knows the exact differences between the 9.9 and the 15 hp 4 stroke engine. It appears the mechanical components are the same. Is it just a carb/timing/electronic pack difference? I would appreciate any accurate information about this.

The 15hp revs harder at WOT so it may be an electronic pack difference. I'm curious as well as to whether it's worth it. I think you'd only notice the difference at full throttle as torque should be similar at normal rpm.

Hey, check this out. I was able to download a partsbook and numbers. The only things I found different was the cam and the carb. Im getting a price on them as we speak. I noticed on my motor the last inch of throttle twist does nothing. I thought the rpm's are listed as the same in the specs? Ps electronic pack is the same for both models.

Before someone corrects me I have realised the stupidity of my last comment. They run the same gearing so the 9.9 will rev lower as it hasn't got the same grunt. i'd still like to run them side by side though.
