Anybody have problems with the choke sticking closed on a Suzuki? Mine is a 1985 DT40 which used to occasionally be "unstartable" after running a while, but we discovered last summer that the problem was that the choke would stick shut even with the knob pushed back in. It would start nearly instantly as soon as the choke was popped back open with a screw driver down the carb bore.
I "overcame" the problem by only pulling the choke knob gently and listening carefully to hear the choke click back open when I push the knob back in, but I would like to go back to just using it without extra thought.
It appears that the choke plate itself is sticking in the choke bore as all the mechanisms will move with a finger touch while the choke plate itself remains stationary.
Any thoughts about this?
