Hello all...
Thanks for helping me out...

I have a 4 stroke I keep at the Marina.... It's not idleing correctly... F/w sepertor was changed feb 09... i have a S/s prop and it's just not getting out of the hole like it used too....

My throttle cables broke 1 month ago and it was changed ($400) ever since then it seems like the motor is just act'n crazy... Run's great!! But, try'n to get it on plane just seems like its been very sluggish then what it used to be... Its not idleing correctly and the pee stream is very weak then what it used to be...
Please help before i get a canoe....
THanks

p.s. Before my throttle cables were changed my WOT RPM was around 6000 not it only gets to 5000.. Could that be because of the newer cables?

the engine should be propped at 6000.
so at least you know thats good.

i would T a fuel pressure gauge between the high fuel pressure and the fuel rail.
you should have a nice constant fuel pressure around 35 psi. at any time when you turn the ignition key in the on position. and running at idle or high speed.
fuel pressure should be constant.
(the ECM regulates the duration the injectors are opened according to engine speed and sensor information.)

if thats good and you have no water in the fuel your fuel system is ok. exept the injectors

if it is below 35 psi at any time you have a restricted fuel flow ( probbebly high pressure fuel filter) or a weak fuel pump. could be high pressure or low pressure.

the engine doesnt give you any alarms?
