suzuki df140 cuts out at 3000rpm

hi, my 03 df140 with 20hrs on it starts fine, idles fine but at 3000rpm surges,won't throttle up. i have replaced all filters,low speed fuel pump,and neutral switch. there are no warning flash codes showing. is there a sensor or control i could try to replace? i have a warranty but there are no suzuki dealers on MV island so any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Are you in gear or neutral?

Engine mounted neutral switch is stuck. Shifting in and out of gear a few times generally frees it up. If not, remove starboard side cover and work switch plunger with needlenose pliers.

problem happens while in gear, i have already replaced and checked operation of neutral switch

Check the switch again, the switch tells the computer when engine is in gear.

i double checked the new switch i installed, same result. i might haul this boat off island to the nearest dealer and forget about fishing season! any suggestions? thanks

check the fuel rail pressure.

replaced high pressure fuel pump, problem solved. thanks for accurate info
