2004 DF250 with approx 650 hrs. Just replaced tach, lower unit oil, motor oil/filter and water pump. Standerd once a year maintenance except for the tach which had a stuck needle. Reset the oil change reminder and got the confirming beep. Engine started fine on the trailer as usual using the water ears. Turn the key to on, the system goes through the normal long beep, 4 red lights come on then off and then the needle indicates the engine hrs. Started the engine. A few seconds after start up the buzzer started this very rapid beeping. Check for water pee and it was flowing as usual. Shut the engine down. Checked oil level and anything else that might be out of place. Went through restart and the same beeping again. The engine appears to run as usual. Now if I turn the key on the system checks as usual, 5 seconds later the rapid beeping will start even without starting the engine.... just the key to "on". I let it beep for 30 seconds then turned off the key. Even now the motor will start fine but 5 seconds later here comes the very rapid non ending beeping. Anyone ever delt with this? I cannot find any rapid beeping signal in the service manual.. There are no blinking code lights on the tach. Maybe I'll reinstall the old tach...could this be an issue with the new tach? All this is while on the trailer.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Suzuki DF250 constant rapid beeping

This morning I reconnected the old tach. Same thing...rapid beeping from buzzer. The tach, old & new, is Suzuki Fiara(?). Analog needle, 4 lights on bottom. Also tried ign. switch "on" with the safety kill "off". Same thing. Turned batt switch to "off" then turned key to "on" for 30 seconds. Then turned batt switch to "both" again....same thing. A year ago (3/2010) I brought the rig to the dealer in New Orleans they confirmed that it had the current ECU installed with Lap top check. I get the rapid beeping but no light codes...
I only have a few hairs left...

Disconnect one of the sensors, see if it will set code. Clear, the code test engine again. If it will not set code, try different tach.

Check wiring harness between the engine and controls for shorts, and loose/dirty connections.

Check connection of white wire, from computer.

Check all connections on computer for dirty/loose connections.

Still have the beeping, try to borrow engine computer for test. defective computer will cause this.
