Hi, my 2000 Suzuki DF70 has been very reliable until now. After sitting for a couple of months but with fresh gas and a new gas filter, it turns over just fine, but won't start and shows no sign of wanting to start.

The kill switch checks out fine. There are four fuses that I found and all are in good shape. Disconnected the fuel line and gas squirts out when the bulb is pumped. Pulled a plug wire and used a screwdriver to check for a spark beteween the screwdriver blade and the block, but no spark seen. No blinking lights on the display when the key is turned on.

Dealer says they are 10-12 days behind at present to be able to check it out. and say the problem could have any number of causes and to call back later to make an appointment.

Any ideas of any other things that could be checked without sophisticated diagnostic equipment?? From the symptoms, I suspect no fire is getting to the plugs, but have no idea why.

Thanks,
Cliff

Not an expert or a mechanic but I do have a Suzuki manual for my 115. Re-check ignition switch, emergency kill switch, and neutral switch. When you turn on the key, can you hear the fuel pump charge? Does the flywheel rotate when cranking? Best case is just a loose wire. Check all connections and batteries for charge and or corrosion. Good luck.
