Suzuki DF90TLK 2001 bogs down over 1500 rpm

engine sat for at least a year. runs fine but will not rev above 1500 rpm. has new external fuel filter and new fuel.

Suzuki 2001 Outboard Motor, 90hp, 4 cycle model/serial DF90TLK1 151291

what is reasonable for a dealer's shop to do in this situation? Thanks!

check battery connection ....mine did the same and low refs were probably to save the thingy that changes AC to DC (name escapes me this early in the morning ) Good luck
