Suzuki DT 100 wont rev past 300 under load

Suzuki DT 100 will not rev past 3000 under load, have cleaned carbs thoroughly. Starts & ticks over normally, on flush hose will rev & splutter & smoke for 2or3 attempts then wil rev to 5500 then will rev like that as long as I keep blipping throttle.Have cleaned/replaced filters & checked fuel lines are clear.

Check the timing is ok first off, dont rev its so high if its on muffs. Nasty things happen which are always very expensive. Are the plugs getting fouled up.

Yes, not advancing/timing out fits, dont know why I did not think of that. Perhaps I am too close to the challenge & sometimes it is hard to see the wood for the trees.<br />I will check that & let you know the outcome, will not be able to get back to it until the wk/end. THANKS, I owe you one!
