My trim motor is running slower and slower.I recently found the fluid contaminated with water so I opened the lines and refilled but that now beginning to wear off.Do you think the pump and/or motor is gone? The motor will not run at all sometimes and when it does it is only for a second then it slows or quits.
thanks

If you have water in the lines you have a leak somewhere most likely in a line. I would think you need to flush the entire system after finding the leak and repairing it. Depending where and if the water intruded to the motor windings would determine if the unit is good or bad. I dont have the manual for a 150 but suggest you get one to troubleshoot how to inspect the motor.
I have found that public libraries carry outboard manuals and usually have copy machines on hand so you can copy the page/pages you need. They usually dont let any manuals to be checked out.

No. I would reccomend the same oil used in pump motor and blow the lines out with nitrogen or compressed air before connecting to the pump. water should settle at the lowest level in the lines or the pump motor.

Check ebay or on this site. A used one is what I'd go for. New ones are'nt cheap. I believe many other model & year pump motors will interchange with the DT150 pump motor
