Suzuki DT15 hp outboard, 1986 model

Dear Forum,<br />I recently purchased this used engine disassembled. It's Serial No. is 01501570188. I'm OK with all things except the gear shift assembly that runs across the gear shaft housing. Can anyone supply me with an exploded view of this assembly showing position of gear change rod lifting cam, and the various other components. My Clymer Shop Manual that I recently purchased does not discuss or show this assembly at all!<br />Thanks and regards

Go to www.brownspoint.com and sign up. You can download a complete exploded .pdf of every section. BTW I don't think your motor is a 1986 by the number.A 1986 would something like 01501-60**** I reckon late 1985.

Hi,<br />The year on a Suzuki is determined this way<br />

<br /><br />So probably it is a 1981 or 1991.<br />0150 1570188.<br />Also the color on the Suzuki outboard can give a clue:<br />Blue engine: 1980-1982<br />Light grey engine: 1983-1988<br />Grey(almost towards green color): 1989-1996
