I have only had this motor for a week, still figuring out the ins and outs but one thing still puzzles me. When I try to start this thing cold, there is no spark unless I mess with the little red button on the back of the control. This is the button you push in to disengage the shift lever to run the throttle up a bit. Once I get the red button in the right frame of mind, the motor starts right up. Is this something that is supposed to be set right to start the motor or is it a problem. I am thinking of taking the control apart and bypassing whever it is in there that stops me from getting spark. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I think that its a saftey switch. is this a tiller or controll box if a box is the button in the middle of the gear selcetor and shifter. if so its a warm up button.
