Suzuki DT30C problem

Hi

First time user and reader

My first question is, i thought my Suzuki was a 98 year model, but i want ti dubbel check it.
Serial Number 03003-971339. But when i check it at www.store.brownspoint.com i can only see model number up to 1997... Im i reading my serial number wrong?

Second question.

I was out and fishing, and it started to rain ( it rained so heavy that i almost could see fishes in the air )
When the rain was over my engine started to act very weird, when i turn the throttle to give some more gas it starts to die. But when i put it back into neutral its sounds okey again. I have cleaned the gas and changed sparks.

I have searched the forums but cant find any answer about my problem.

Your motor was probably built in 1998 but is a 1999 model, the 1st number on the second part of serial # represents the year model. 03003-971339

not sure about your other problem, did you get water into the fuel? if so you need to pull and clean carbs.
If the rain got to some of the wiring connections you may need to take apart connectors and clean and lubricate

Thx for the help with the serial number, feel like an idiot because i couldnt find it out my self.

About the rain/fuel, i dont belive i got rain inside my fuel, i have my fuel tank under a beanch. I dont know how the rain could get under the engine cover.

I got a nice spark when i take plug out to test it. The engine starts very easy.
Can it have something to do with my filter ? This problem starts when i give more gas and turn the grip down to go faster, the engine dieas.

Sry again for the english, i couldnt find any swedish forums that match iboats forums.

Could be a fuel restriction at filter or elsewhere. check out the frequent asked questions on how to test fuel system with fuel pressure/vacuum gauge and clear tubing.
If supply if good then maybe need to clean carbs
