Suzuki DT55 Poor spark

Hi<br />I have a Suzuki DT55 1988. I cant get it to start.<br />I have checked the spark at the plugs and all 3 have a very weak spark.<br />I followed instructions in the manual..and the tested the charge coil resistance = 214ohms with no leak to ground. Ignition coils primary all approx 1 ohm secondary 15kohms to 17kohms.<br />I dont have a peak reading voltmeter so unable to check the output from the charge coils.<br />Hope someone can help

I believe that you have a problem with the computer that controls the eclctrical to the plugs etc. I can not recall the name as I have just gotten up and only had two cups so far. Low spark was my problem on my DT 85 adn I had to get a used computer. Black box, left side of the motor. Must have the specific device to check it out. Find an old Suzuki dealer in your area for more help.

Thanks thom, kinda suspected this was the problem, it called a CDI unit.<br />Am trying to locate one but guess they are expensive.
