I was given a old boat that has a Suzuki DT60 which has a Vro system under the bonnet with a oil tank above the carbs, I'm guessing a mid 80's or early 90's motor. Are these vro set ups dependable ? I don't mind mixing my own gas oil. I started the engine in a drum and it seems to work ok have not had it out on the water yet, the previous owner said the engine had sat for at least 9 years. Could anyone in the know give me a run down on how this system operates. Is the pump inside the plastic jug? there are 2 wires going into the top of it. or is it mechanical? any info will be most helpful.
