Hello friends,
i have a Suzuki DT65 automixer wich doesn´t work for 2 years.
Now there are these problems.
In Idle speed the motor works very fine, but if you pull the throttle to half or full forward or backward, the motor kills quickly.
Beleaving that it would be a lack of gas, I cleaned all filters and the three carburators, but this had no effects. The gas is a regular benzine with 95 octane, the oil is a very good quicksilver twostroke oil.
Very often , if the throttle is pushed back to neutral, the motor kills with a sound like a "blubb".

can anybody of you help me?

greetigs from Nuremberg/Germany to all from

Ralf

Re: SUZUKI DT65 need help

I had the same problem on my 87mod. DT65. the problem was the CDI unit.. try to disconnect the ignition-timing switch/box who stands on the second Carburator. if it works now, are the CDI or the ig.timing-switch-box who causes problems. Ps. the idling rpm will go up a litle bit when you disonnect the switch, because the Engine get full trottle ignition timing Constantly! I hope this could help you :)

Re: SUZUKI DT65 need help

I too have this 'kill' problem on my '85 DT65. From reading other posts I'd put it down to very poorly maintained carbs, which I'm in the process of sorting out. As yet though there's been not testing.

I will watch this space eagerly as the 'kill' problem gets even more irritating when waiting for a boat to pull you onto your skis from the chilly waters of a scotish loch.

Niels
