A friend of mine has a 2005 Glacier Bay 22' with twin Suzuki 4-Stroke 115s. One of the motors has started having the Low Oil Pressure light come on and the the engine goes into safe mode. There are no indications that the oil pressure is low, however there aren't any Oil Pressure gages on the instrument set. The oil level is fine and the engine sounds fine. On occasion, the motor will run fine too as if there wasn't ever a problem. Is this a sensor flaking out? How do you diagnose such a problem? Thanks in advance.

Since it's under warranty, bring it to the dealer and let them diagnose it.

Re: Suzuki Low Oil Pressure Light

The problem is that in our area there isn't a Suzuki dealer close. And that boat is big enough to not want to tow it very far. I agree that it needs to be seen, but was wondering if there was any more ideas other than what the owners manual says "Take it to your nearest dealer".
