Suzuki outboard reputation...

I need a new engine for my boat. i had a 1997 Force 120 that has a cracked block. <br />I saw a 150HP 2000 Suzuki for sale. is this a good engine?

The outboard is only as good as the people who had been looking after it, definitely have it check out.

My little brother has a Suzuki 150 and it is a very strong motor that he has no problems with but he takes care of it. <br /><br />Parts cost abit more but they break less often from what i have heard

If you are in a rural area, you might have trouble finding someone trained on Suzuki. This may or may not be of concern to you, if you do your own work. In this case all you need is a parts source.

Being "rural" and having to deal with a few Suzys... <br /><br />If you have a local dealer, use them. If you don't... try Brown's Point Marine. They saved me several times... search the net for them...
