I have two Suzukis-an 85 and a 115. Both tilt/trim motors need oil. Everybody has different advice-what oil should I use and is there a proper way to add oil so I don't get air bubbles. Is there a way to bleed these motors if needed?

Re: suzuki power tilt/trim

My service manual for DF90 and DF115 four strokes recommends DexronIII ATF or equivalent. 1.To bleed air, make sure manual release valve is tightened to specified torque (2.6lb.-ft) 2.Operate PTT switch, raising and lowering motor(full tilt to full trim down) 4 to 5 times. 3. Check oil level, topping off if necessary. 4.Reinstall oil filler plug. Hope this helps  (I'm not an expert)

Dextron III instead of SuperTech Tilt/Trim fluid? Is this the same for a 1983 DT 140 Tilt & Trim motor? Also - do you have any valve body diagrams?
