Hello All:
Was out yesterday fishing and all of the sudden my twin 2008 150hp motors went in the up-position. The starboard engine trim sound continued to run. I had to put the batterie in the off position but the motor will not go in the down position. I was able to get the port engine down to run in 10 miles. What will cause the motors to do this?

I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks, Rick

Re: Suzuki Tilt / Trim

I would think a short in the wiring or switch. If they both went up then that should help limit the places to look

I have had that rpoblem with a single outboard before and it was one of the relays that control the trim motors that had froze up. They are usullay mounted just forward of the motor under the cover. If both of them went up at the same time it is probably at your switch....does one swithch control both motors?

I agree with the other posting....it is probably up at the switch. Good luck.
