Swap 125 Force for 115 Mercury???

I recently aquired an 88 model VIP Bass Boat with a Force 125 on it. The Force has ignition problems. Have ordered a CD module. I also have a similar year Mercury 115 "Tower of Power" Even if the force engine runs out good. Would I be better off to swap it out with the Mercury?

I would stick with the Force if the new parts fix it, Bone.

In spite of their reputation, Forces are simple and easy to work on as long as you do the work yourself and can find parts.

Re-rigging a boat for a different outboard is never as simple or straightforward as it appears.
