Swap 3.0 for 3.7

I will make this quick I have a bad 3.0 in a boat i got last fall I have gotten a donor boat with a 3.7 and need to know what to look for in swaping the two out

swap everything from carb to prop and you can do it. however the 3.7 has its list of problems

They don't even sell parts for 'em anymore...

Do both outdrives have the same bolt pattern through the hull
I relize 3.7 is not the perfered 4 cylender but its what I have so its what ill use. I only need to get two years out of it.

We don't know. If your 3.0 powered boat is an Alpha One Gen 2, then the answer is "no". But not too hard to modify.
To say it's not preferred is an understatement. You would MUCH better off repairing/rebuilding/replacing the 3.0 than to mess with an old obsolete engine.

Different gear ratios. The swap will cost you more money and headaches then repairing what you have. The repair will be less work then the swap.

The bolt pattern through the hull is the least worry.
