..swap 360 chrsyler to chev 350??

Hi guys . And boy have i searched this out. I have a chrsyler 360 with a volvo 280. I would like to swap out the 360 for a chev 350. Can any one tell what it will take part wise to make this happen. are any of the 360 parts interchageable with the 350. any info would be very much a good thing.. Thanks

No parts interchangeable. You would have to get the bellhousing and mounts for the 350.

Ok thats what i thought. What do i need to get then. is there only one type of bellhousing to get. what about the exhaust. what coupler.

Hi all, my first post!

I am sure that you know this already but sometimes you just have to hear it from somebody else.
The 360 is a very understated engine and is widely available. Although buying aftermarket parts for the engine is more difficult it is very easy to get more cheap HP out of them. If more power is the reason for changing motor, then I can give you a list of parts to buy. The 360 was the performance engine for Chrysler for a long time after the 340 ceased production. They have large intake/exhaust valves, very good flowing heads. The slightly longer stroke will give a slightly better torque curve against the GM. I own both a 305 Merc and a 5.9L ram.
If the engine is destroyed it might be easier to buy another one from a ram truck/ramcharger up to 1989 (prior to fuel injection and 1.6:1 rockers) that will bolt straight on to your mountings and housing.

I am about to swap out my chrysler 360 for a gm 350. It seems i now have everything i need but the risers and the volvo/chev exuast y.
Will the chrysler/volvo y work with the 350. its a vp280 leg

after looking more close at it seems there is about 80% hose going to the leg.
