swap ford 351w to gm 350

hello all,<br /> im looking to swap a 350 for my junk 351w<br /> alpha out drive<br /> 1976 sea ray srv 240<br /> can i just swap motors?<br /> do i have to change transom assy? shift plate? or anything else? any help would be appreciated<br /> thanks john

Welcome to iboats.<br /><br />The main differences will be the bell housing, flywheel, and exhaust manifolds. It'll be the same behind the motor except maybe for the exhaust yoke.<br /><br />What is the source of the 350? Used boat? Used car? Complete or partial? What you'll need depends a lot on what you get.
