When I bought my boat, the guy I bought it off of gave me an extra outdrive. Supposedly it has been rebuilt with only about 3 hrs on it. I think it's likely he's telling me the truth, because he gave it to me AFTER I had purchased the boat.
Anyway, its a Mercruiser 120 (ser # 5450016 1 98 R) I'm assuming the 1.98 R stands for 1.98 gear ratio Right Rotation.
Will this drive bolt up in place of my current 1989 Alpha I Gen I? And if it will work, will any mods need to be done?
I'm not having any problems currently, but if it'll bolt up and work, I'll keep it for a spare. If not, I'll sell it (of course as condition unknown).
