Happy Fourth of July to everyone,
I have a question. Is it normal for the carbs on a 1983, 70 horse Johnson outboard, model J70ELCTE to sweat after running the motor? Basically after running the outboard I noticed sweat like for example if you have a cold glass of water with ice in it and set it outside in the heat it will sweat really good, is that normal for an outboard carb to do that and I noticed that after I sit for a awhile my motor cranks good and starts up but it boggs a little bit and then goes up to full speed. Will the sweat cause this and before I went out I took the carbs off and cleaned them up and set the floats as per the rebuild instructions and I doubl, tripple checked the floats to make sure there right before installing the carbs back on. Let me know about the sweating issue. Thanks, Bob
