I recently purchased a 1991 Swiftsure 16' bow rider with a 115 Hp Yamaha. I am trying to find out who manufactured this boat. The other thing I am looking to buy is a complete convertible cover for it, without having to get a custom one made. Any help would be very appreciated.

The first 3 letters of the HIN ID's the builder.

Swiftsure isn't or wasn't a mainstream builder, so you won't find a convertible top. It's either custom or sew one up yourself.

Generic biminis are available at prices below custom made ones. Just buy a model that fits your boat's length and beam. They sell them on IBoats.

Get out the sewing machine. Or drop some dough at a shop. As I said above, those are your only choices.

Every family boat I've owned for the first 48 years came with a convertible top. That was my preference. Then in 2017 we got a Bimini because that's all that was offered. I upgraded it with a 3-piece isinglass bow curtain. Our 2019 is the same.

Being the old fart that I am, I resisted for years. But now I'm a confirmed Bimini sailor.

My guess is that a generic Bimini with a custom bow curtain will cost less than a custom convertible. in any event, you will need a local canvas shop, one way or the other.
