The stock ladder is coming off of my 1987 Starcraft Medalist 16 FG boat. It's was just lagged in. I want to drill through the hull and bolt this back on. The forward side of the transom is accessible. I'd use stainless hardware and some kind of sealant. I'm thinking maybe even rubber washers inside of the stainless washers --inside and out. Any thoughts?
What type of sealant should I use?
What am I overlooking?
Now I can't find access to the backside of the lowest ladder mounting hole. --Any StarCraft owners out there who have encountered this problem?
