Swim Platform Repair

My swim platform is fiberglass-covered plywood. The wood inside is completely rotted out and I need to replace it. Anyone have a tip or two on a suggested procedure? <br /><br />One suggestion was to take out all of the old wood and use glass beads and epoxy for a filler.<br />Has anyone tried this?<br /><br />Thanks for any info you can provide.

I would remove the platform from the boat,turn it upside down and remove the rotted wood and replace the empty cavity with new wood and fiberglass it in.I would also try to track down where the moisture came from that rotted the wood.Charlie
