The switch for my Volvo Penta QL BP800 bow thruster is bad. I need a replacement for it. The Volvo Penta part number for this is 41100743 but it does not look like they make it anymore. See page 5 on the attached document. Does anyone know who might have it or if there is something else I can use as a replacement. I was at a boat show and I was told the switch was odd and I needed to be careful. I guess if I could be the spec's on it I could build it from scratch.

Look at the switch and see if you can determine the amp rating of the switch. Then look up Exp: 15 amp joystick switch replacement

It will come back with things like these
https://www.amazon.com/Joystick-Controller-Position-Switch-Replacement/dp/B07TWX6HJK

Note the higher the amp rating the heavier the switch. If you only need 10 amp its all good to use a 15 or 20 amp switch.

Now that said, you could change it to a double pole double throw with off in the middle toggle NC-OFF-NC

since its a single pole switch, it is a pilot switch that is switching a reversing contactor.
