i have a 1960-61 mer. 800 dir. rev. there are two switches that have to be pushed in to allow the engine to start. one of them is bad. can i just wire the ends together?
I think it is a normally open switch, so try it disconnected (insulate the connectors with tape to try).<br />But if I were you, I'd replace the switch.It's there for a reason which was important enough, the "bean-counters" went thru the expense of puting one in.
