I just took delivery of a new prop for my Bayliner 1950 bowrider, with VP 275 drive and 305 V8. I apparently inadvertently checked the box for Right Hand Drive, when I thought that I was ordering a Left Hand Drive which my VP has. Without considering the delay, restocking fee is 20% and shipping will be another $30.
Question is, I know that I can change from left hand to right hand drive by a linkage change, however, my new prop is a 4 blade 14X21, would that cause excessive torque steer with the V8. I've seen differing opinions.
Wondering if I can get by until the end of season, then change back to left hand when I pull the sterndrive for maint.
