swivel bearing grease

1972 225 sterndrive electric shift. Where is the swivel bearing grease zerk located.

There should be a red plastic cover screwed into the front of the exaust housing. it is behind that.

Found the hole but no plug no zerk. There isn't any threads in the opening for a plug.

Wrong spot ... that photo is from the back of the drive up under the top cap. Look at the image in post #3 : you want to look on the front of the exhaust housing just above the lower unit. In fact, it's probably right about where your drain plug goes into your hull when your outdrive is down.
