Swivel bracket interchangability

I have a 77 1150 with a rotten swivel bracket (and no power trim as well). I have been trying to locate a bracket that will accept this engine.
I have located a great bracket that came off a mid 80's 150 with a type two tilt trim.
My question is will my older engine fit into the new bracket?

Simple answer, No.... Your engine is an in-line 6, and that one is a V6.

Thanks for that! The guy who had the bracket was nice enough not to try to sell it to me before I found this out.
So only inline brackets will fit another inline 6? I believe there were two types of tilt\trims that the inline would fit. the single piston type fits into another bracket like the V6s.....this is very confusing!

Also in-line 4 engine (except45/50) of a similar era.

I just found a pic of an inline 6 on Ebay with the swivel bracket I am talking about. It sure looks like the one I went to look at today that came off a mid 80's 150. Are there little diffferences here that would make it incompatible?

The V-6 150 wont work as exhaust housing is different.. what you need is a "inline" bracket from the following engines..
1975-83......90/115/140/150 inline
1978-83......80
1976-78......85
1983-88......90/115
The 1983- 88 uses the new style trim like in the picture you posted and you will need to slightly "modify" the engine to use the new trim on a older engine as the relays/solenoids will have to be mounted under the cowling.
