Hello all! I have a 2008 Glastron GT205, with VP 5.0GL and SX-A. I am looking to replace the UJoint Bellows as the are original to the boat. No failures so far, Ujoints and shaft are clean, and was able to pull off the boat without too much issue. I however don't see how you can get to the bellows without removing the tilt assembly from the boat. I found a few excellent tutorials here, but they seemed to focus on the SX drive, which had pins you could unscrew. They seem to be pressed in on the sx-a. So any tips....are welcome. Homemade tools, bellows installation without pulling that assembly (maybe could be done by removing the exhaust bellows?)

Thanks!

I have the same drive. I have replaced mine a couple of times. You could probably replace the bellows without removing the pivot assembly but it is not ideal. You will need a special tool to press out the pivot pins to remove the pivot housing. I have done mine by removing the gimbal ring and pivot together. Remove the two bolts at the top and by tapping out the large pin on the bottom.

Thank you. The upper bolts came off easy enough for the gimbal housing, but that lower pin is STUCK. how do you get it out? I haven't found anything online. Seems like maybe remove the exhaust bellows and knock it out the bottom?
