SX Cobra outdrive removal

I have a 97 Larson 186 SEI, 3.0GS-MLKD with SX-CT1 outdrive. The exhaust bellows is bad so i figured while i had the outdrive off i will go ahead and replace the u-joint bellows also. Do i have to remove the pivot housing in order to replace the u-joint bellows?

No you do not have to remove the pivot housing. After removing the exhaust bellows, remove the plastic nut on the pivot housing that holds the water hose fitting into the pivot housing. Then dissconnect the ujoint bellows and remove from the bottom.
Just be careful when putting the new bellows back in, that you do not snag it on something and put a hole or cut in the new bellows.
