SX Tilt motor

I have a 2005 Stingray with a 5.0 GL-E and I am having a issue with the tilt/trim motor. long story short it all together stopped working on the lake, I got the boat home and found the plug got hot and had no power to the motor. I replaced the pump and now when you tilt it up it makes a bad squealing noise. the oil level is good with no leaks any suggestions would be great thanks

If it is squealing at fully down and fully up that is normal, however if it is during the raising and lowering operation that should be investigated. When you say SX what kind would be helpful, as there are several, is the pump mounted in the boat or externally?
