I was just hoping for a little clarification of some of the warnings and was hoping someone could shed some light. Will the SystemCheck "no oil" signal sound off if the motor is not pumping/mixing oil or is this just an oil tank measurement? I just had an '05 90hp put on my boat and just want to be sure oil is being injected and it doesn't burn out. I'm hoping the SystemCheck would warn of this but wasn't sure what the exact warning was for.

Thanks!

Re: SystemCheck for '05 Johnson

Dan, The System Check warnings are Low oil, No oil, overheat and Check Engine.

The low oil warning is the oil tank level is low.(warning)

The no oil warning is no oil detected at the VRO pump (Critical alarm)

Overheat is obvious

Check engine on the V6 Motors is a lask of gasoline at the VRO pump. I do not know what it means on your V4. An owners or service manual would explain it.

Thanks Chris!

That is what I was hoping the No Oil alarm was for.
