T&T Just Died?

Did a usual monthly winter check over on my pontoon with a 1987 Johnson 110 w/factory T&T & nothing! Never had a problem with it. No buzz, beep, click---Is there a fuse or something i don't know about???

That uses the relay box and sometimes the relays go bad. You can troubleshoot it. iboats sells the relays pretty cheap and they are easy to change. Johnson, Evinrude, MES, Volvo-Penta, OMC Sterndrive Cobra, GLM Replacement Power Tilt and Trim Motor Relay R473 - Arco - iboats

Thanks, thought about the box but really didn't know exactly what to look for.

This will probably take 2 people but with a multi meter inside the box you will see if connections are working and actually feel the individual relays clicking ....... there should be a wiring diagram inside the top cover of the box when you open it.

Go to shopevinrude.com and look at an exploded view of the box

Give the t/t mtr a few raps with a small hammer and see what happens with somebody holding the switch in either up or down and see what happens.

Seriously---Its been just sitting & we've had way more rain than normal soooooo-----
Kind of like a old Chevy truck the starter wouldn't say anything till you "prompted" it with a hammer :laugh:
