Hello,
I'm having a he!! of a time trying to get the last connector into the pump unit. I get it started by hand, nice and straight( not cross threaded). Give it half a turn with an open end wrench and it pops out. Here a few pictures I took of the threads. Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Yeah! it happens all the time those connectors are witches to get in sometimes.

You are fighting the natural "spring" of the tubing. Use a very small open end wrench or needle nose pliers to push up on the fitting while turning it with the correct 3/8 wrench. You can also bend the tubing a bit to relieve pressure on the fitting. If this does not work, try removing the tubing itself and install the pump fitting first. Hopefully the tube and fitting is not the UP trim which would require removing the engine from the boat.
