My 2007 T8 HT trim/tilt is not functioning. I tried to lower it and it went down a little. I tried raising and it moved up a little. Then it no longer would move. I can hear a faint click when the up/dn switch is activated in either direction (relay?). I see no obvious problems. Probably is the trim motor but I was wondering if others had had the problem and knew the fix? Thanks.

I would start by verifying that the battery has a good charge and the connections are clean and tight. Does the starter work okay? If you have a volt meter you can check for voltage at the tilt motor terminals. They are located on the top right front of the motor and have blue and green wires connected to them.

If it starts okay, the battery and connections must be good. You need to check for voltage at the tilt motor terminals. If you have good voltage there while operating the up/down buttons, that would point to a problem with the tilt motor. Have you checked to make sure that you are not still covered under the warranty?
