Tach for Prop Selection on Mark 58A

Is there a tachometer solution for my Mark 58A that is as easy as the handheld tach that I use when tuning up my '48 Chev truck?<br /><br />I don't want to mount it on the boat dash but just want to check RPM's during prop testing.<br /><br />Thanks!!

If it's a induction tach it will work great and most shop tacks will work if they don't adjust for two cycle engines just figure the differance in the pulse count
