That motor requires a special tach that will work on a 20 pole stator. They are getting to be hard to come by.

Why not?
Everyone else can post photos.

The 20 pole tach have all but disappeared in the last 4 months.

Looks like these will work:

Will that tach work for my Chrysler 50? (1983, 507R3E)

Re: tach help, what kind?

its the amount of magnets on your stator.. you have to use a tach that matches the pole numbers to get a correct tach reading...
