Tach install??

Hey folks,<br /><br />Want to install a tach in the dash connected to my model 18803M 18hp evinrude 1968. I'm not sure where to begin as far as connections to the motor...<br /><br />Also, thinking of setting up a pair of 18's on the boat or going to a 40hp of same vintage. Any one selling??? I love the 18, it runs like a sewing machine, but if I have to a 40 would fit the bill.<br /><br />Thanks<br />JR
