i have a 1994 yamaha 200 salt water series and i just installed a new yamaha digital tach and it just reads 0000, the trim indicator works and so do the oil bars. i need to know how to check for a tach signal comming from the rectifier. how do i check the rectifier ? ( i have a multimeter ) . i also am going to check the green wire at the dash for a tach signal, but what should i be looking for. ( a friend is going to help me ) i'm not familar with a multimeter. if anyone could help i would appreciate it.
