Tach question

I have an "87" 125hp force motor on a 19' Bayliner. It doesnt have a tach, and I would like to put one on. I have heard <br />this can sometimes be a problem, as the force motors do not work with standard tach's. I dont want to spend a lot of money. Can someone suggest any simple -inexpensive solutions<br />Thanks

"Tinytach" hooks up to one plug wire and ground,<br />costs only $35 and even keeps engine hrs.<br />good luck,<br />M.Y.
