I picked up an automotive tach and was wondering if it will work on my 1990 90hp V4 Evinrude. The tach has a switch on the back for 2-4-8 cylinder engines.
When I opened the package and looked at the instructions it said something to the effect of "not for use with 2 cycle engines".
I picked the tach out of a clearance bin for $15 so it's no big loss if it wont work. However if it will it will save me $100.
