Tach wiring and oil injection

They are 3 wires on a plug on the control box white purple and black . are these for the tach and how do they wire up to a teleflex gauge? also if i do away with the oil injection on this evinrude do i have to unhook the buzzer in the control box thanks.

Yes. Purple goes to "I" terminal, black goes to "G" (ground) terminal, grey goes to "S" terminal. Do not disconnect the warning horn, disconnect the wiring at the pump and disconnect the wiring to the oil reservoir.<br /><br />-John
