tachometer problem

i have a 93 lowe with a dash tachometer, I recently discovered after installing and on board charger my tach does not register at high rpm's it merely drops to zero I have checked the connections and nothing appears loose, any ideas?<br /><br />Thanks

I have a 91 lowe 1910 backtroller. My tack does the same thing. I have test all the connection too and they are ok. I was told the OMC tack had problems. Get a new tack!!

What type of engine is the tach attached to? We can definitely help you out, we just need to know.
